We are a not-for-profit members’ bowls club, run by members for members. This allows us to keep membership costs as low as possible while providing first-class sporting facilities within our recently refurbished clubhouse.
But we are more than just a bowls club. We are also an important part of the local community, offering our circa 600 members a welcoming place to meet, socialise and enjoy the great sport of bowls in a friendly environment.
Members benefit from a fully stocked bar at club prices, an excellent members’ restaurant serving lunches and a warm, sociable atmosphere. Although we are located right in the centre of Tonbridge, we also offer free parking for members whilst they are on our premises.
The Club’s official name is Angel (Tonbridge) Indoor Bowls Association Limited, which owns the facilities. The Association is operated by a Council of Management made up of elected volunteer Directors, who oversee the Club’s finances, property management, facilities, catering franchise and staffing. The land on which the Club stands is leased from Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.
All bowling matters are managed by our Bowling Committee, which is made up of elected Officers.
We are also proud to be part of the network of local businesses working to become dementia friendly.
Angel Bowls Club welcomes everyone with an interest in this fascinating sport and opens its doors to prospective members of all ages, abilities and agilities - from juniors to great-grandparents, from absolute beginners to national level players.
